Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (TX-26) released the following statement regarding the 10th anniversary of September 11th. “Our country was deeply wounded ten years ago. For many that wound has not fully healed, and for some it never will. We must never forget, though, the way Americans came together in the days and weeks following the attacks, and presented a united front against evil and hate.

Washington, D.C. – Tonight, Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (TX-26), voted in favor of the Cut, Cap, and Balance Act, H.R. 2560. The legislation is aimed at cutting discretionary and mandatory spending, capping federal spending at the 2012 level for the next ten years, and qualifying a debt ceiling increase Balanced Budget Amendment.
