“Secretary Perry’s extension of the freeze on Obama administration energy efficiency rules signals a transfer of control from the government back to the consumer. Government standards have proven, time and again, to be unworkable. When the market drives the standard, there’s no limit to how quickly and aggressive manufacturers will respond when consumers demand more efficient products. I commend the Trump Administration for taking steps to dial back the federal overreach of the last administration."
