Burgess Votes to Continue Impeachment Inquiry of President Biden

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Vice Chairman of the House Rules Committee and Chairman of the House Budget Committee Health Task Force, released the following statement after voting in support of H. Res. 918 - Directing certain committees to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existing House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach Joseph Biden, President of the United States of America, and for other purposes.

“The power of impeachment is the House’s Constitutional responsibility,” Burgess said. “Americans deserve to know the truth about President Biden’s knowledge of and interaction with his son’s business deals. Unfortunately, it appears as though neither this administration nor the President’s family are taking these accusations seriously. In the coming year, House Republicans will fully examine all the evidence.”
