ICYMI: Rep. Burgess joins Fox and Friends

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Vice Chairman of the House Rules Committee and Chairman of the Budget Committee Health Care Task Force, joined Fox and Friends live from Norma’s Café to discuss the funding battle and selecting the next Speaker of the House.

Highlights:

On a divided House: "We [Members of Congress] reflect the country's people elect us. We represent our districts. If we appear divided in Congress, it's because the country is divided. Now, a good president would bring people together rather than split them apart."

On Bidenomics: "Unfortunately, this administration has been focused on splitting people apart. I've never seen the number of labor strikes going on at one time that we have now. Do you need any better proof that Bidenomics is not working for the average American?"

On the next Speaker of the House: “The bottom line is when we [the Texas delegation] come out of that meeting next Tuesday, we have to be unified. We all have to vote for our speaker. When we go to the floor, we can't have this 15 round stuff again. We've all got to be focused on getting a speaker back in there getting to work.”
