A Doctor's Note on Fighting and Leading

Dear Friends,

At the end of October, the New York Times reported that this year’s Thanksgiving could be the most expensive meal in the history of the holiday. Across the country, hardworking American families are getting crunched by the policies of the Biden Administration.

This “turkey tax” is just one more example of how more government spending creates a hidden tax on Americans. I remember this summer when the White House boasted that Americans would save 16 cents on this year’s July 4th BBQ. It is a shame that I needed that change to pay for the gas I used to go to the grocery to prep for that BBQ.

Gas prices are up more than 50 percent since last year and the rise in prices is not slowing down. Remember one of President Biden’s first executive orders killed the Keystone XL Pipeline. This action contributed to the massive spike in energy prices.

I cannot stand idly by as Americans are projected to see their energy bills and grocery bills surge because of the policies being shoved on the American people.

I am fighting to bring forward responsible energy solutions that will utilize every resource we have available. I am fighting for solutions that will prioritize the needs YOU write in about. I am fighting to ensure that your children receive a quality education, not a partisan one.

I always appreciate your comments and your concerns on this issue or any other issue. May God bless you and your family, may God bless our veterans, and as the song says, God bless you Texas.

Until next time, this is your doctor's note.
