“Today House Republicans fulfilled our promise to sustain President Trump’s veto and protect his Constitutional authority to defend our country. As record numbers of people cross our southern border without the benefit of citizenship or legal status, Congress cannot deny that this situation is anything short of a national emergency. While Democrats play politics with our national security, I will stand alongside President Trump to ensure the safety of North Texans and Americans around the country.”
