One of the most important things I do as your U.S. Representative is help you gain access to and information about the Federal government.  Below you will find links and information about a few of the many federal government offices, agencies, and bodies of government.

THOMAS
The Library of Congress’ Internet Legislative Information System. Updated daily, it provides a searchable database for information about all bills passed in the 107th and 108th Congress, bills pending in Congress, and House and Senate floor speeches and debates recorded daily in the Congressional Record.

The White House
Learn more about the duties of the President of the United States and Vice President of the United States, the policy initiatives of the White House, the president's budget, and view videos, photos, fact sheets and other relevant information about our nation's executive branch.

U.S. House of Representatives

Made up of 435 members from the 50 states, District of Columbia, Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, this body is one of the two chambers of the United States Congress and meets for business in the United States Capitol.

U.S. Senate
The Senate, along with the House of Representatives, makes up the United States Congress and houses 100 Senators, two from each of the 50 states.  Also residing in the United States Capitol, the Senate and House comprise the Legislative Branch of the Federal government.

U.S. Supreme Court

Rounding out the three branches of the Federal government - the Judicial Branch - the United States Supreme court consists of nine justices and is the highest court in the nation.

U.S. Courts
The federal courts often are called the guardians of the Constitution because their rulings protect rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution. Through fair and impartial judgments, the federal courts interpret and apply the law to resolve disputes.

Library of Congress
The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps and manuscripts in its collections.

Postal Service
The United States Postal Service delivers mail to almost 138 million homes, businesses, and post office boxes. About 1.7 million new addresses are added each year. They handle more than 200 billion pieces of mail a year, or five pieces per address per day.
