Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Chairman of the Rules Committee, released the following statement on the retirement of the Rules Committee Staff Director, Kelly Dixon Chambers, after 26 years of service in Congress. "Congratulations to my Rules Committee Staff Director, Kelly Dixon Chambers, who will be retiring after nearly 26 years of dedicated service in the House of Representatives," said Chairman Burgess. "On behalf of all House Republicans, I can say that Kelly has played a significant role in providing guidance as well as direction to congressional members when making policy focused decisions. Not only was she a great staff director, but a very trusted confidant and friend. Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation we have for her commitment to ensuring policies that put Americans first are prioritized. Kelly, I am grateful for the highly proficient staff you have prepared to continue your legacy. I am confident your next steps will be nothing short of successful. We will miss you."
