A Doctor's Note

Bringing Energy Efficiency and Savings to North Texas

Dear Friends,

Last weekend, I had the privilege of hosting my annual Energy Efficiency Summit and Fair, aimed at providing cost-saving solutions for North Texas. I am excited to share some of the highlights from the event.

Throughout the summit, we were fortunate to hear from energy experts who provided valuable insights to empower our community to make informed decisions that conserve energy and reduce monthly utility bills. From simple energy-saving practices to more advanced technologies, our speakers covered a wide range of strategies that can positively impact your bottom line.

Kicking off the event, Dr. G. Brent Wallace, President & Chancellor at North Central Texas College, welcomed attendees and set the tone for a day filled with constructive discussions. Former U.S. Representative Bill Flores, Vice-Chair of ERCOT, delivered a keynote address on Texas energy, providing valuable updates on the state's efforts to ensure reliable and sustainable energy for Texans.

Mr. John Todd shared his expertise on high-performance construction, emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly and energy-efficient practices for our homes and businesses. Kathleen Jackson, Interim Chair of the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), delivered a keynote address on the state's utilities and their plans to meet the evolving needs of our growing population. Dr. Alan Lund enlightened us about the electrification industry in the United States, its advancements, and its role in shaping a sustainable future. And Drew Campbell, President of Capitol-Insights, provided an insightful overview of the current state of the auto industry and its impact on the North Texas economy.

I am grateful to North Central Texas College for hosting us at their beautiful facility, and I extend my thanks to all our esteemed speakers for their contributions to this event. It was truly a privilege to witness the exchange of ideas and expertise among our community leaders.

As your Representative in Congress, I remain committed to bringing impactful events like this to our district and advocating for the issues that matter most to you.

Until next time, this is your doctor's note.
