Burgess Votes in Support of the Limit, Save, Grow Act

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Vice Chairman of the House Rules Committee, released the following statement after voting in support of the H.R. 2811- Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023.  “For the last two years, Americans watched as President Biden and Democrats wasted their tax dollars through unnecessary COVID spending causing inflation and slowing our economy,” said Burgess. “In an effort to reverse course, House Republicans put forward serious solutions to address the debt ceiling crisis by reclaiming unspent COVID funds, reigning in reckless government spending, and standing up to Democrat's radical Green New Deal agenda. This sensible solution will save the American taxpayer 4.5 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. It's time for Congress to take responsibility and strengthen the economy it weakened. The Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023 prioritizes fiscal responsibility and secures a better future for all Americans.”
