ICYMI: Burgess on Mornings With Maria: The Border Is a Crisis of Absolutely Tragic and Epic Proportions

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Vice Chairman of the House Rules Committee, joined Mornings with Maria to discuss the fentanyl crisis and the crisis at our southern border.

Highlights:

American communities are suffering: "Every community in the country that is suffering some of the downstream effects, whether it be personal tragedies like we heard in the Homeland Security Committee, or whether it's schools and hospitals and law enforcement that are simply overwhelmed with the numbers of people that are coming across because the President told them to come. And that is what has to stop. It has to stop at the top. He [President Biden] has to deliver that message. And I don't know why he won't."

China should be held accountable for the fentanyl crisis: "We have a chemical and biological warfare going on in our country right now. The balloons distract everyone's attention. But let's not be distracted from the fact that this is not new. This is their [China's] marathon."
