Burgess hosts annual U.S. Service Academies Forum in Fort Worth

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), along with Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX), Congressman Jodey Arrington (R-TX), Congressman John Carter (R-TX), Congressman Jake Ellzey (R-TX), Congressman Pat Fallon (R-TX), Congressman Lance Gooden, Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX), Congressman Ronny Jackson, M.D (R-TX), Congressman August Pfluger (R-TX), Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne (R-TX), Congressman Van Taylor (R-TX), and Congressman Marc Veasey (D-TX), are hosting the 2022 North Texas U.S. Service Academies Forum on Saturday, April 9th  in Fort Worth, TX.

“This is an excellent opportunity for North Texas students and their parents to learn more about our nation's service academies, requirements for admission and the selection process,” said Burgess. “North Texas has a rich legacy of military excellence and commitment to our country, and it is an honor to help students pursue a future of service. After having to be virtual the last few years due to the pandemic, I am grateful for Fort Worth ISD opening their doors so that we could once again be in person.”

Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon; Registration opens at 7:30 AM

In addition to representatives from congressional offices, all five service academies (U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and U.S. Air Force Academy), as well as representatives from the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board and Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps ROTC will be attending to answer questions and distribute information. Attendees can meet with these representatives on a one-on-one basis to become informed about the educational opportunities available to qualified young men and women who want to serve our country.
