For four months in a row now, the U.S. has seen jobs added back to the economy. The August Jobs Report shows hopeful progress toward an economic recovery as we continue to traverse this pandemic.

National Updates:
The Department of Health and Human Services(HHS) announced that assisted living facilities may now apply for funding under the Provider Relief Fund Phase 2 General Distribution allocation.

• Additionally, HHS announced the details for the distribution of $2 billion of Provider Relief Funds out of the $5 billion in planned support for nursing homes.
• Providers can view the comprehensive allocation timeline for the Provider Relief Fund here.

The National Institutes of Health awarded $129.3 million in grants to nine companies to assist with the manufacturing of rapid result COVID-19 tests, as part of the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics initiative.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services published the monthly snapshot of the impact of COVID-19 on the Medicare population.
