Dear Friends,

This morning, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the distribution of $4.9 billion to skilled nursing facilities. This funding is part of the $175 billion in provider relief included in the CARES Act and the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published considerations for health care providers taking care of newborns at risk of catching COVID-19.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture released guidanceaddressing the shortages of personal protective equipment and sanitation supplies in the food and agriculture industry.

  • FDA also released updated guidance about compounding certain drugs during COVID-19.

Until next time, this is your doctor's note.
