Dear Friends,

The Department of Health and Human Services extended the deadline to 45 days for health care providers to attest to receipt of payments and accept the Terms and Conditions from the Provider Relief Fund.

National Update:
The Food and Drug Administration released a revised Emergency Use Authorization for disposable filtering facepiece respirators manufactured in China that do not meet NIOSH standards due to concerns about the level of protection certain products offer.

The U.S. Travel Association released a health and safety guidance document for those who work in the travel industry.

The Health Resources and Services Administration awarded over half a billion dollars to help HRSA-funded health centers across the country expand COVID-19 testing, including over $31 million dollars to Texas.

Texas Update:
The Texas Division of Emergency Management has an application for cities to request funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Public Assistance program in order to get reimbursed for emergency protective measures against COVID-19.

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) released county-level data on COVID-19 cases and fatalities.

  • Additionally, DSHS produced a list of counties that can have businesses operate at 50 percent capacity per the attestation process.

The Texans Back to Work Task Force released its report outlining a strategy for reopening Texas to full capacity.
