Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, issued the following statement on the FBI reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server. “The reopening of the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server is signal enough that her reckless actions in compromising national security are far more serious than the American people have been made aware. This time around the FBI must take a more thorough examination of Secretary Clinton’s mishandling of highly classified information and the severe risk at which she put all Americans—at home and abroad. I join Speaker Ryan in calling for the Director of National Intelligence to suspend all classified briefings for Secretary Clinton until the investigation is fully and properly conducted.” ### |
