The Rev. Charles Smith of Berea Baptist Church in Fort Worth and his wife, Gloria, attended the National Prayer Breakfast this month in Washington as guests of U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Lewisville.

Last year, Smith was also, at Burgess' request, a guest chaplain in the U.S. House and gave the opening invocation May 13.
