FREE Paying for College Workshop
Honorary Co-Host U.S. Representative Michael Burgess Scheduled to Kick-Off February 28 Event WHAT: Paying for College, a free workshop for high school students and their parents on planning and paying for college presented by The Sallie Mae Fund, in partnership with the National Association for College Admission Counseling. One high school student will win a $1,000 scholarship toward the cost of a higher education. WHY: To explain the benefits of continuing an education beyond high school; the affordability of college through various types of financial aid (e.g., grants, scholarships, work-study, and loans); and the resources available to help families prepare for the college admissions process. WHO: Lewisville-area college-bound students and their families, admissions and financial aid experts, and U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess, who will serve as honorary co-host WHERE: Lewisville High School - Auditorium 1098 W.
