Burgess Votes to Ensure U.S. Military Strength and Security

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Vice Chairman of the House Rules Committee and Chairman of the House Budget Committee Health Task Force, released the following statement after voting in support of Conference Report to Accompany H.R. 2670 - National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024.

At a time of such unrest in the world, America’s intelligence capacity can’t go dark. It is more crucial than ever to protect our nation from all threats, foreign and domestic,” said Burgess. “Given our position on the world stage, I voted to keep our military the strongest fighting force in the world. With this vote, we ensure our men and women in uniform get the pay raise they deserve after serving our country honorably.”
