Washington, D.C. — Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Republican Leader of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, released the following statement on H. Res. 183. “The U.S. Constitution guarantees Americans certain inalienable rights, including the freedom to practice the religion of one’s choice. No person should be targeted for their religious beliefs. Anti-Semitism is wrong. Full stop. All forms of religious discrimination are wrong. Full stop. As Members of Congress, we must hold ourselves to the highest standards. All Members should stand together to protect the Constitutional rights of our fellow Americans. |
