ICYMI: Burgess Joins America’s Newsroom

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), member of the House Rules Committee and Republican Leader of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health joined America’s Newsroom to discuss the possible next steps in the impeachment process.

Highlights:
Nothing from the Start: “They are holding the articles because they really had nothing in the first place, so if they send them over to the Senate it will crash and burn.”
Mad, Sad, and Frustrated: “Look we are talking about President Trump. Anytime we talk about President Trump he is winning. So if they think they are playing a mind game or getting under his skin, oh, ok. Look people are sick and tired of this, the words that I hear most often – Mad, Sad, and Frustrated.”
The Senate Gets to Make the Rules: “It is a 51 vote by the Senate to make the rules. Furthermore, realistically we all know how this ends. There are not two thirds of Senators who will vote to convict and remove the President from office.”
