Burgess Statement on Terror Attacks in Sri Lanka
Washington,
April 22, 2019
Washington, D.C. — Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Republican Leader of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, released the following statement on yesterday’s terror attacks in Sri Lanka. “I join with fellow Christians and people of all faiths who grieve the violent terror attacks in Sri Lanka. No one should fear violence or persecution as they worship, and such senseless attacks on Christians celebrating the resurrection’s promise of eternal life on Easter morning are particularly heinous. I stand alongside President Trump, Secretary Pompeo, and all Americans to condemn extremism and violence worldwide, and I offer my condolences to all victims and their families.” |
