Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Michael Burgess released the following statement today after the House passed H.R. 3223, The Federal Employee Retroactive Pay Fairness Act.

"Today, I was pleased today to vote in favor of H.R. 3223.  As the Defense Department and other agencies are recalling furloughed workers for Monday, this legislation will ensure that they are paid and not harmed by the Harry Reid and President Obama’s continued unwillingness to negotiate a budget for our government."
