Congressman Burgess released the following statement after Congressman Parker Griffith (Alabama) announced he will switch to the Republican Party:

"Today I join my fellow Republican doctors in welcoming another doctor to the House Republican Conference. Dr. Griffith has already established credentials as a conservative voice with in Congress and his expertise and intellect will be a valuable asset to our conference. The road ahead is full of significant challenges and I am grateful that we can call on Dr. Griffith's knowledge and leadership in the days ahead."
