Washington, D.C. – Today Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, released his 2016 Year-End Annual Report, a comprehensive review of a year’s work that showcases his legislative accomplishments, media presence, and constituent services and correspondence throughout 2016. Dr. Burgess notes that the annual report is part of his commitment to transparency with his constituents and a means of reflecting on and quantifying every function of both his Washington, D.C. and Lake Dallas district offices. “My top priority is to serve my constituents to the utmost of my ability. The people of the 26th District have entrusted me with the responsibility of this office and I am honored to have that trust. An important part of this role is accountability. Six years of divided government have made it difficult, but still 2016 saw some successes and a significant number of priorities were achieved. This report acts as a vehicle to track my progress and identify areas of improvement as we look ahead to the 115th Congress.” Additionally, Dr. Burgess released an infographic that summarizes all his work during both sessions of the 114th Congress.
